Looking for safe, stress-free, and luxury pet transport across the East coast of Australia? Look no further than Royal Paws Pet Transport, the newly formed National Animal Transport Company dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and a user-friendly experience.

We are currently seeking an Animal Handler/Driver to help us establish a smooth and efficient transport schedule. As an Animal Handler/Driver, you will be responsible for providing general pet care and ensuring the health and wellbeing of all animals in your care. This role requires significant travel beyond Sydney, where you will liaise with our admin staff and customers to provide a smooth and stress-free service.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an Animal Handler/Driver to help us establish a smooth and efficient transport schedule. As an Animal Handler/Driver, you will be responsible for providing general pet care and ensuring the health and wellbeing of all animals in your care. This role requires significant travel beyond Sydney, where you will liaise with our admin staff and customers to provide a smooth and stress-free service.

Animal Care

At Royal Paws Pet Transport, we prioritize the health and wellbeing of our transport passengers, and you will be responsible for hydrating, feeding, cleaning, and sanitizing cages. You will need to be consistently aware of the health and condition of all animals in your care.

Driving

Driving is an essential part of this role, as our transport vehicle is large, approximately 6 meters long, 2.2 meters wide, and 2.9 meters high, weighing around 4.5 tonnes. Experience operating a larger vehicle and long-distance driving is necessary. Transport Trips consist of 4 days on the road per week. You will also need experience using navigation apps and navigating both rurally and in a city area.

Key areas to focus.

• Operation and day to day maintenance of our transport vehicles
• General Pet care 
• Cleaning and maintenance of the cages and vehicle interior and exterior
• Use of our bookings and customer management app. 
• Liaising with customers and our admin staff

Skills and Experience

• Proven Experience with Long Distance Driving
• Competent Operating a large Vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 40 kgs.
• Experience handling animals
• Reliable time management 
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

While it’s preferred, qualifications such as the RSPCA First Aid for Animals, Animal Handlingcertificate, or Dog Training certificate are not necessary.
